This is a question bank for the CFP® certification exam, built the way the exam is built — by domain. The exam is one test written to a published blueprint of eight knowledge domains, each carrying a fixed share of the questions, and the fastest way to waste study hours is to spread them evenly across all eight. So this site does not hand you one undifferentiated pile of questions. It splits the work the way a candidate should: one domain at a time, heaviest first, with a full rationale on every item.
Below is the blueprint, then the four places to work on this site — the practice bank, the exam overview, the domain-by-domain study guide, and two decision pages for anyone still choosing a path. It is independent practice, not the official exam, and it is not affiliated with CFP Board. For the current fee, the pass standard and the exact test dates — all of which change from cycle to cycle — confirm with CFP Board before you register.
Exam structure
The Eight-Domain Blueprint
Read the exam as a weighting problem before you read it as a knowledge problem. Retirement, Investment, General Principles and Tax together carry more than three-fifths of the questions; the remaining four domains split what is left. Put your first study hours where the blueprint puts its questions, and treat the lighter domains as points you defend rather than points you chase.

An independent study desk for the CFP® certification exam: a domain-weighted question bank with a full rationale on every item, plus a section-by-section study guide. It is not affiliated with CFP Board, and practising here is not the official exam.
How is the CFP® exam organised?
As one exam written to a published blueprint of eight knowledge domains, each carrying a fixed share of the questions — from Retirement Savings & Income Planning at the top down to Professional Conduct & Regulation. Weight your study to match the blueprint rather than spreading it evenly.
What does the CFP® exam cost, and when is it held?
The exam runs in March, July and November windows, and the registration fee changes from cycle to cycle. This site never prints a fixed figure for either — confirm the current fee and the exact test dates with CFP Board before you register.
